The Erzgebirge on Your Doorstep
Mountains, forests, craftsmanship. A region waiting to be discovered.

Glück auf!
Mining Tradition for Centuries
The Erzgebirge is so much more than mountains. For centuries, silver and tin were mined here, and that mining tradition still shapes the region today. Schwibbögen and Räuchermännchen, nutcrackers and Christmas pyramids – they all come from here.
This craftsmanship is recognised as UNESCO World Heritage. In the region's workshops you can watch the carvers at work. And during the festive season, the entire valley glows in a sea of lights.
